His Excellency, The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello attends the burial of Late Elder Albert Anamezie Okafor, father to His Director of Research Development and Speech Writing, Barr. Moses Okezie Okafor in Anambra State.
The team of the Governor was led by the Deputy Governor of the State, Chief (Dr) Edward David Onoja with the high powered delegation comprising of the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr. Mrs Folashade Ayoade Arike, The Deputy Chief of Staff to the State Government, Hon. Sunday Faleke, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Yunusa Olofu, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Hon. Idris Danjuma, The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Senior Special Assistants to the Governor and Office of the Deputy Governor and other top Government functionaries.
Speaking at the grave-side before internment, the Deputy Governor disclosed that Barr. Okezie is a very treasured member of the strategy team of Governor Bello, being an Igbo man, which also speaks volume of the person and nature of the Governor.
He says the delegation was sent to the South East to commiserate with Barr. Okezie, not minding the volatile security reality of the region at the moment, harping on the hospitality that other non-indigenous ethnic groups enjoy in the state, especially the Ndi Igbo.
He prays for the repose of the soul of the Okezie patriarch whom he says has gone to be with the lord, with his positive fruits to keep his legacies alive.
