Marry 5 wives or be jailed – Swaziland King orders country men The King of Swaziland, King Mswati III has made a declaration in the country that men are required to marry at least five wives or go to jail. A statement by the King called for all men in the country to marry at least five wives, assuring the men that government would pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them. King Mswati warned that any man or woman who opposes the decision “will face a life sentence”. The order, according to IHarare, is to ensure every woman gets a husband as it is believed that men taking more wives will help women get husbands. The monarch noted that there are more women than men in Swaziland which he noted was a very serious problem for a country known to be full of virgins. Zulum flags-off N11.5 billion works for 10 major roads, bridges Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, on Thursday, flagged-off N11.5 billion worth of construction works for eight major roads and two bridges cited in key parts of Maiduguri, the state capital. Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, alongside his colleague, the Governor of Gombe, Inuwa Yahaya, were in attendance on Wednesday, when President Muhammadu Buhari inaugurated a Presidential Committee on the Repatriation, Return and Resettlement of refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the North-East of Nigeria. Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, said in a statement that during the inauguration, Buhari commended Governor Babagana Umara Zulum for his unparalleled commitment to his people and exemplary leadership.
